I had the pleasure of capturing the wonderful wedding day of Mr and Mrs Bishop at Doddington Hall, a stunning venue with beautiful gardens.
The shoot took place from the preparations before the big event up until 30 minutes after the first dance. The staged photographs on the day were pre planned so we were so lucky to have had such nice weather blessing us with amazing natural light.
I like to make my photos appear more candid, allowing the bride, groom and guests to enjoy their day rather than being constantly aware that there is a photographer capturing their every move. I also think that it's very important to fit in with the guests and be a part of the wedding so people feel more comfortable around me. It also allows the guests and I to get to know each other more and have a laugh allowing me to document more fun aspects of the day and make myself appear less intrusive.
Whilst photographing the event I generally stuck to using my Canon 5d Mark iii with the use of my Canon 70-200mm lens so I could capture memorable moments from the distance, along with natural portraits of the bride and groom and also the guests.
Overall the day ran very smoothly with ice-cream being provided in the garden after the ceremony for guests, following onto the speeches and wedding breakfast, to the excitement of the evening party with magicians, live music and buffet.
I would like to thank Mr and Mrs Bishop for allowing me to document this fun filled day and wish them all the best for the future.
